Licensed children’s IP: nonfiction, fiction, and educational content
This page is under construction
Hi, I'm Heather! As a children’s writer and content producer, I specialize in creating licensed and partner‑ready content for children’s publishing, educational platforms, and youth‑focused programs.
My work is designed to be modular, adaptable, and ready for use in classroom resources, digital products, and co‑branded initiatives.

I develop licensed children’s nonfiction and fiction that organizations can actually use — content designed for programs, curriculum, and platform delivery. This includes:
-
Practical, youth‑centered content for program use
-
Curriculum‑ready material with clear learning goals and activities
-
Modular content structure that facilitators can use independently
-
Age‑appropriate language that translates across formats
-
Support for confidence‑building, SEL, and skill development
Whether a partner needs co‑branded guides, workshop materials, classroom resources, or digital learning modules, I can help shape content that fits into real‑world frameworks and platforms.

Over the years I’ve written hundreds of books and projects for major publishers, brands, and organizations, including Disney, Sesame Street, Scholastic, Learning A‑Z, Hachette Book Group, Random House Children’s Books, Mayo Clinic Press Kids, Lerner Publishing Group, NASA, The Arthritis Foundation, TIME for Kids, Sports Illustrated Kids, Discovery Kids, The Jim Henson Company, Little Golden Books, the Smithsonian, National Geographic Kids, Teacher Created Materials, PebbleGo, and PebbleGo Next.
I've also led workshops for Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region, Hollins University’s Graduate Program in Children's Literature, and the Society for Children’s Book Authors and Illustrators 50th Anniversary Summer Writers Conference.
Highlights of my career include solo shows at NYC's The PIT and The Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre, writing my first Little Golden Book, and appearaing as an author/expert on E! Entertainment's True Hollywood Story.
My background as a performer and presenter directly informs how I develop youth nonfiction and educational content—especially around confidence, communication, and audience engagement. I bring all of my experience into developing original IP that partners can use in their programs and platforms.
